These days, many of us are guilty of finding ourselves glued to the screens and ignoring what is going on around us.
It’s no wonder that a lot of us have had to guiltily accept that we’ve spent too much time on the phone recently, especially while spending a lot of time at home.
With an app for everything, it’s easy to get sucked in to the online world anywhere and at any time.
One woman showed just how distracted we can become when scrolling through our phones – and showed up her dad in the process.
Singer Jeanne Taylor shared a video on TikTok capturing her dancing vigorously behind her dad, while he stares at his phone distracted.
She pointed out the irony in her caption, stating: “And parents think we get buried into our phones …. lmfaoooo ok dad. love u.”
For anyone concerned about the lack of social distancing and masks, Jeanne has stated that the video was filmed pre-coronavirus.
While Lady Gaga blares in the background, Jeanne can be seen busting some moves, and even follows her dad when he distractedly shuffles forward.
The hilarious video has been viewed more than 1.2million times since it was uploaded two days ago.
Many were left in stitches by her vigorous dance moves and her dad failing to notice that anything suspicious was happening.
One woman joked: “The commitment to this had me at 100% right there with it.”
Another replied: “He’s about to make a million dollar deal leave him alone.”
A third added: “He controls his daughter by phone, smart lad.”
A fellow fed-up daughter added: “My dad does this too. iPhone, iPad, whichever.”
Another moaned: “This is me and my mum.”
Meanwhile, a mum on TikTok was shamed after showing off a meal she serves her children when she “can’t be bothered.”
Mum @thelebaneseplate filmed a video showing a board filled with chicken nuggets, mozzarella fingers, french fries and potato wedges.
Parents were left divided by the meal, with many agreeing that it was absolutely fine as an occasional treat.
But others criticised the mum, with one warning: “Fried food reduces children’s IQ so if you love them please don’t do that.”
